you need to do is check out a professional soccer game, or more specifically
some soccer hooligans. I had the opportunity once to be in the company of some
hooligans, and I seriously thought I was going to die.
With this stigma in mind, it’s a wonder more
soccer players don’t make a run for the silver screen, although it seems that
isn’t the case with ex-player Paul Gascoigne. Variety reported yesterday that
Paul Gascoigne, or Gazza to the Brit fans, will be starring in FINAL RUN, an action-horror
flick about aliens.
While Gazza doesn’t have much acting experience
per se, he apparently has a love of Sci-Fi, saying that films like THE DAY OF
THE TRIFFIDS (which is a cool flick) have caused him to want to be in a
movie like this.
Gazza’s soccer career has struggled lately
because of addiction problems and an apparent Obsessive Compulsive Personality
Disorder. He will also be joined by Lois Winstone, and Stephen James Blund will
