Producer Roy Lee is a pretty busy dude. Not only is he currently overlooking Takashi Shimizu’s 7500 but apparently he’s got his eyes set on an upcoming reboot of a classic genre flick. As if you couldn’t have guessed from the title of this article, I’m talking about POLTERGEIST!
You see the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting recently had a chance to chat it up with Mr. Lee regarding 7500 but that’s not what I’ve come here to talk about today. Apparently Lee spoke about another project he’s got coming up:
“The one that I’m most excited about updating is the ‘Poltergeist’ reboot. That is probably something that somebody, hopefully next year, will be able to accomplish… I’m in talks [to produce it for MGM].”
So there you have it. Nothing worth writing home about but at least it’s a nice little update to give us an idea of where things stand with this POLTERGEIST remake, which is pretty unneeded by the way… Regardless you can bet any other news we here on this reboot we’ll pass right along to all of you.
