Hopkins fathers Wolfman

JoBloJoBlo

I think I might be the only person on the planet who thinks MEET JOE BLACK is a fantastic movie. Part of that is down to what I consider to be very, very intelligent writing, and part of it is down to Anthony Hopkins’ portrayal as the wise old father figure. Sure Hannibal Lector is probably Hopkins’ greatest ever role, but in my opinion no-one plays the wise old dad like he does.

To that end, he has revealed that he is very close to playing father to Benicio Del Toro (who is slightly more hairy and a lot less attractive than Clare Forlani) in the upcoming movie THE WOLFMAN.

He says that Del Toro “just wants to make sure that the deal is all in but I play the Wolfman’s father in Paris. A wonderful part.” The film will be a remake of the 1941 film THE WOLF MAN, which tells of a guy called Larry Talbot that is bitten by a werewolf during a scuffle, turning him into a werewolf himself.
