When does Pixar’s Hoppers arrive on Digital and 4K Blu-ray?

One of my theater-related regrets this year is not making the time to see Disney and Pixar‘s Hoppers (read our review here) in theaters. Thankfully, the animated adventure is coming home sooner than I thought, with the newly announced release dates for the film’s digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD debuts. According to Disney and Pixar, Hoppers arrives on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, on April 28, and also on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 2.

What’s Hoppers About?

Disney and Pixar’s renowned storytelling legacy takes a wildly fun and raucous new direction into the animal kingdom, seen through the eyes of the precocious Mabel, a compassionate human who hops her consciousness into a robotic beaver. In her technologically-enhanced quest to stop the destruction of a precious glade, Mabel encounters critters of all shapes and breeds, ranging from fellow beavers to bears to reptiles to birds to insects to fish…and even an unexpected shark. Mabel’s mammalian-mobilized mission to save the beautifully tranquil glade is a heartfelt yet ferociously funny adventure into what it means to be “part of something” – community, nature, family – a lesson for all species.

In this animated comedy adventure, animal lover Mabel seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a lifelike robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she makes amazing discoveries, Mabel befriends a charismatic beaver and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent human threat.

Hoppers is one of Pixar’s better-received features of the past several years, with many critics celebrating the film’s gorgeous animation, delightful comedy, and touching tale about communication and protecting the homes of wild animals worldwide.
