Well folks the nominations for the 68th annual Golden Globes were just announced and low and behold, horror flicks get snubbed yet again. That’s alright though, we don’t need any stinking awards for our beloved horror movies. But we do need them for our genre television shows!
According to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed blog both AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and Showtime’s “Dexter” are up for Best Drama nods. “Dexter” also scored a Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nod for Julia Stiles. And of course Michael C. Hall is up for Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Alright so not much horror at this year’s Globes but there’s no doubt the nominated shows definitely deserve their spot. Sure people have completely torn apart the writing for “The Walking Dead,” and for good reason I’d say, but there’s no denying the show was awesome.
So there you have it folks. Enough reason to watch the Golden Globes come January 16th? Probably not but we’ll run with it!
