Earlier this month we showed you a handful of stills from Len Wiseman’s take on TOTAL RECALL, specifically a few shots of Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel milling about on set. Well, today we have for your first official look at Farrell as Douglas Quaid. And you know what, he’s actually wearing the same threads as those set shots…

Since his appearance hasn’t changed, I must reiterate what I wrote last time out. I can’t really say I have much faith in Farrell as Qauid. Not that he can’t act, I’m actually more and more impressed every time I see him, but it’s the look of him here. I just can’t help but think of Schwarzenegger and how slight Farrell looks in comparison. I don’t know.

Also featuring Bryan Cranston, Bokeem Woodbine, Ethan Hawke, Kate Beckinsale (below), Will Yun Lee and Currie Graham – TOTALL RECALL involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side. Vilos Cohaagen (Cranston) is the head of Euromerica, furtively devising an invasion of New Shanghai.

TOTAL RECALL bows August 3, 2012.
