Will Smith won't be in the upcoming sequel to INDEPENDENCE DAY but you know who will be? Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman!
Movie.com's Erik Davis held a Q&A with the film's director, Roland Emmerich, last night and got all the goods regarding the upcoming sequel and I think you're going to like what the director had to say. When asked about who will be coming back the director said he expected to see Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum return. He didn't give any details regarding what their characters will be up to in the film but at this point I really don't think it matters — I'm pretty sure the movie just sold itself.
We still don't have any plot details to share with you guys but things are starting to look a whole lot nicer for the INDEPENDENCE DAY sequel. Right now the expected release date is July 3, 2015.
