Back in October of 2013 we learned that "American Horror Story" star Jessica Lange had shared that she would bow out of the hit FX series after season 4, and this past weekend at the "American Horror Story" panel at PaleyFest she revealed that she was staying true to her word, stating "Yes, I'm done" with the series.

This is sad news for fans of AHS as Lange was such a huge part of what made the show so damn good.  During her tenure on "American Horror Story", Lange won two Emmys, a Golden Globe and a SAG award for her alter egos, which included a washed-up Southern belle in season one, an acerbic nun in "American Horror Story: Asylum", a dominant witch in "American Horror Story: Coven" and a German carnival ringmaster in last season’s "American Horror Story: Freak Show".

The actress shared…

“We’ve had a great run here. I mean, I absolutely love doing these four characters, and in all the madness, I love the writers and Ryan (Murphy) and the insanity of shooting it.”

Damn, I'm gonna miss her on AHS.

In other AHS related news, Deadline is reporting that Matt Bomer will star opposite Lady Gaga in "American Horror Story: Hotel", the upcoming fifth installment of FX’s horror anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. Bomer will play a lead character next season, with details about his character kept under wraps. This marks Bomer’s return to the AHS franchise after a guest starring stint in the most recent "Freak Show" installment.
