The Walking Dead Michael Rooker

It's always great to see Michael Rooker show up in anything, and he shows up often – the man who started his film career with the deeply disturbing HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER has racked up more than 120 credits over the last 33 years, delivering standout performances in projects like THE DARK HALF, MALLRATS, The Walking Dead (pictured above), and the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY films. He even did battle with a Graboid in an episode of the short-lived Tremors TV series.

The former "Henry, the serial killer" is now set to play "Clyde, the monster hunter" in the film MONSTER PROBLEMS.

Michael Matthews will be directing the film from a screenplay by Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson. It's being described as

a coming-of-age story about a young man living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters.

Rooker will be starring alongside Dylan O'Brien. His character Clyde is

an expert hunter who teaches Joel Dawson (O’Brien) how to survive the Monster Apocalypse.

MONSTER PROBLEMS is being produced by Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment, which works with Monkey Massacre and Netflix to bring us Stranger Things.

The filmmakers are hoping that MONSTER PROBLEMS is going to spawn a franchise, and it's very cool that they have chosen Rooker to help them get this started.
