Rob Zombie promises longer Three From Hell trailer hits next month

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Yesterday we were finally hit with the much-anticipated teaser trailer for writer-director Rob Zombie's third (and final?) chapter in his Firefly Family saga, THREE FROM HELL starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Richard Brake. Not to, you know, appear ungrateful or anything, but I thought it was a bit… short.

I know it was a teaser trailer but still. All I'm saying is when can we see a bit more footage? Turns out Zombie has been swamped with questions following the release of the trailer and one of the top five was when a longer trailer is going to hit. So I guess I'm not alone.

Anyhow, Zombie took to Facebook to answer some of these questions, writing:

It has been a big day for questions about 3 From Hell. I will now try to answer the TOP FIVE.

1. Is Spaulding in the movie? Yes of course he is.

2. When does the movie take place? Immediately following Rejects.

3. How do they survive? Well, you have to see the film for that answer.

4. When is it coming out? The movie will be in theaters in September. Not sure of the exact release date yet.

5. When do we get a longer trailer? In July.

Rob Zombie's Firefly Family saga started out in 2003 with HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and then seemingly ended with 2007's THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, which followed this synopsis:

After a raid on the rural home of the psychopathic Firefly family, two members of the clan, Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), manage to flee the scene. Heading to a remote desert motel, the killers reunite with Baby's father, Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), who is equally demented and intent on maintaining their murder spree. While the trio continues to torment and kill various victims, the vengeful Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) slowly closes in on them.

While we don't know much about what THREE FROM HELL is about specifically, we do know that Baby Firefly (Sheri Moon Zombie), Otis B. Driftwood (Bill Moseley), and Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig) will be returning along with THE DEVIL'S REJECTS co-stars Danny Trejo as Rondo and Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green. Plus new additions Clint Howard, Richard Brake, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Emilio Rivera, David Ury, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Edson, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, and Sean Whalen. And let's not forget the series of "bizarre cameos" Zombie promised including Barry Bostwick and Chaz Bono.

Lionsgate and Saban Films expect to release THREE FROM HELL in the early fall — September vicinity.
