The Exorcist season 1 & 2 now available on Amazon on DVD

I've got some good news for you guys and some bad news. The good news is that FOX is bringing their recently canceled yet critically acclaimed series THE EXORCIST to home video. Hoo-ray. The more good news is that the series is now available to own! The bad news is that the first 2 seasons are being, for lack of a better term, dumped to DVD over on Amazon.

Yes, season one and two of FOX's THE EXORCIST are now available exclusively over on Amazon for $29.95 each. And to make matters worse, the DVD contains precisely ZERO SPECIAL FEATURES. Bummer. Was this series really THAT disliked? I mean everyone I know enjoyed (no pun intended) the hell out of it.

The modern take on William Peter Blatty’s classic novel is created by Jeremy Slater and followed this rundown:

Widely regarded as the greatest horror movie ever made, “The Exorcist” broke box office records and terrified audiences around the world. Now, more than four decades later, THE EXORCIST returns as a contemporary psychological TV thriller following two very different priests tackling one family’s case of terrifying demonic possession.

Opening an entirely new chapter in the iconic franchise, Season Two of The Exorcist finds Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and a newly collarless Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels) out of Chicago and on the road, searching out evil. Across the Atlantic, Father Bennett (Kurt Egyiawan) attempts to weed out those within the Vatican who have turned against God. Ultimately, Tomas and Marcus are led to Andrew Kim (John Cho), a former child psychologist who runs a group home for five at-risk foster children on a secluded private island off the coast of Seattle. When one of the children under Andrew’s care is targeted by a powerful force, the two head west, setting themselves on a collision course with Hell.

The two seasons of the series starred Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Geena Davis, Brianne Howey, Hannah Kasulka, Kurt Egyiawan, and Alan Ruck along with Zuleikha Robinson, John Cho, and Brianna Hildebrand.
