Horror on NES

It being a slightly slow news day, and the fact
that I’ve spent the last 4 days eating hallucinogenic mushrooms and playing
Nintendo I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to talk about
something close to my heart;

FRIDAY THE 13th
on NES.

That’s right, possibly the greatest game based on a
movie ever is one where you throw rocks at zombies and attempt to defeat Jason
Voorhees by lighting fires in cabins. I mean doesn’t that sound exactly like the
movie?

Apparently I’m not the only one who still spends
time analyzing games from an older, yet superior, video game system either.
Below you can watch a YouTube video made by someone known simply as ‘Angry
Nintendo Nerd’. And if you have battled Jason on the NES platform this video is
definitely a must see. The guy has some pretty hilarious observations about a
game that really has little to do with the films I love so much.

I would like to think that even at a young age
this game helped attribute to my love for all things horror, and I’m sure I’m
not the only one. So check out the video below, and if anyone else has a
favorite horror film based game, spit some bullets below and let’s hear about
it.
