HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL alum and slammin’ hottie in her own right, Vanessa Hudgens, has joined Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser and Keri Russell in the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy BEASTLY. Based on Alex Flinn’s novel of the same name, the film is a modern day re-telling of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in which a New York upper crust 17 year-old asshole is turned into a hideous beast in order to learn the true meaning of love and not being an asshole. Hudgens will presumably be playing the object of Asshole Beast’s affection. Daniel Barnz will be directing from his own script. Hudgens is currently getting ready to kick some ass in Zack Snyder’s upcoming comic-adapted SUCKER PUNCH.
