The movie is called DEAD @ 17 and is actually based on a comic by Josh Howard. Our DEAD @ 17 heorine is a murdered teenage girl who returns from the grave as a prophesied savior who uses her new abilities to fight evil. Sounds like a watered down version of HACK/SLASH, no?
Alas there’s a DEAD @ 17 movie in the works and you bet your ass I’m down for it! X2’s Mike Dougherty is penning the script with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura producing. Word coming from Comics on Comics is that Di Bonaventura is actively pursuing Hudgens (below) for the starring role. While I will never in my life watch a second of any HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL film or anything like it… I’m willing to give Hudgens a chance, even if she doesn’t look phenomenal nude.
