Hugh Grant signs on for a supporting role in Guy Ritchie’s The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

Hugh Grant most recently starred in The Wachowski’s CLOUD ATLAS but before that he was off the radar for a few years. At least his face was. In 2012 he lent his voice to THE PIRATES! A BAND OF MISFITS. Between 2004-2009, the actor was just wading in a pool of mediocrity. Sad but true. Aside from CLOUD ATLAS, LOVE ACTUALLY was the last thing I truly enjoyed him in.

Eventually he’ll be in another BRIDGET JONES installment if that’s your cup of tea.

Grant has recently signed on to take a supporting role in Guy Ritchie‘s adaptation of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. The story centers on, “special agents Napoleon Solo (Henry Cavill) and Illya Kullyakin (Armie Hammer), who work for the mysterious United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.). Alicia Vikander also stars as the female lead in the pic.” Grant will play the head of British Naval Intelligence.

Production begins in September.
