Hulu has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Freakish, a 10 episode horror series from AwesomenessTV.

Created by Beth Szymkowski, Freakish centers on

a group of students at a small-town high school who must fight for survival when predatory mutant freaks take over after a meltdown at the local chemical plant.

Chad Michael Collins (pictured above), star of the SNIPER action franchise and the upcoming werewolf biker movie HOWLERS, recently signed on to play the recurring role of a mysterious stranger who may be able to save the high school kids from the epidemic.

Collins joins a cast that includes Leo Howard, Liza Koshy, Adam Hicks, Aislinn Paul, Meghan Rienks, Melvin Gregg, Hayes Grier, Mary Mouser, Chachi Gonzales, and a couple actors who are very familiar with hordes of predatory creatures: The Walking Dead alums Chad L. Coleman (you may know him as Tyreese) and Tyler Chase (the short-lived Ben).

Szymkowski wrote the pilot episode and is executive producing Freakish with Brian Robbins, Shelley Zimmerman, Matt Lewis, and pilot director Chris Grismer. Scott Levine is producing.

Freakish will make its Hulu premiere later this year.
