Comparing yourself to PREDATOR and “Lost” is a pretty ballsy thing to do, but that’s exactly what THE LOST TRIBE does. Hell, it even looks like the villain is sporting some sick dreads! Lest you think it’s gone too far, THE LOST TRIBE is actually about some grumpy humanoids on a remote island… which is fine, because I like them too.
THE LOST TRIBE is one of about one billion flicks hitting DVD this month. What’s it about? On a remote tropical island, a primeval secret lurks that is so dangerous, the archeologists that ultimately discover it do not live to reveal their awful findings. Then, when five friends are shipwrecked on that same island, they find the secret waiting for them: a tribe of humanoids – strong, ravenous, and with a taste for the hunt as well as for human flesh. Faced with these remnants of prehistory, this group of friends becomes the hunted, and must relay on their own animal instincts to survive.
The film stars Lance Henriksen, Emily Foxler, Nick Mennell, Hadley Fraser, and Brianna Brown and was helmed by Roel Reine (the upcoming DEATH RACE 2).
