And the coolest part of all? He’s been cast as the leader of the vampires that takes over the small Alaskan town and battles it out against the sheriff & his wife (while trying to turn the rest of the town’s residents).
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: the graphic novel was amazing, and everything about this adaptation is aiming to kick all kinds of ass, from the awesome director to the cast, which is shaping up quite nicely. I’m not really familiar with Huston’s work, but judging from this dude’s crazy-ass smile, I can say he has the ‘look’ of a great vampire leader.
Filming is set to begin this month in New Zealand (which is basically Alaska…right…?), with a proposed release date for October 19th, 2007. Why oh why do we have to wait so long…
