Myriad Pictures and comic-book company Studio 407 have combined to produce the live-action horror flick HYBRID, based on the not-yet-released comic by Peter Kwong.
HYBRID revolves around vacationing college students who come across what appears to be an abandoned trawler while on a sailing trip. They soon discover it is the nest of a mutant creature, born of environmental abuse, who “fishes” for humans in the open water. In other words, “THE HILLS HAVE EYES Goes to Sea!”
Kwong will write the screenplay (presumably whenever the strike ends – figure another couple months) and the project is looking for a director right now, with hopes of shooting in the middle of the year off the coast of Thailand.
And since I mentioned THE HILLS HAVE EYES, here’s a hot picture of Emilie De Ravin!
