Chad Lindberg, Daniel Franzese, Rodney Eastman, Sarah Butler, Jeff Branson, Saxon Sharbino, Amber Dawn Landrum, and Andrew Howard have all been tapped to star in the remake from director Steven R. Monroe.
Butler (pictured) stars as Jennifer, the heroine / victim of the film who gets her sweet, sweet revenge on the group of gang-rapers who molest and rape her, then leave her for dead. Besides a few CSI episodes and a couple of other smaller roles, you probably wouldn’t recognize her, and for a role like this… maybe that’s a good thing. Cast an unknown, and who knows… maybe this flick will be the flick to launch her career.
The rest of the cast is somewhat ho-hum, and further paints a picture of a low-profile, low-budget picture, unlike the THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT remake, which was larger and grander in every sense of the word. In a way, the remake is about as “little” as the original…
Stick around for more updates as we hear it, in the meantime contemplate what the new cast means for this ridiculous, and completely unnecessary remake of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE.
