I Still Sell Dead?

Hot off the news that I SELL THE DEAD will be hitting this year’s FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL there seems to be some rumblings on a potential sequel…

Well not exactly a sequel persay according to ScreenDaily. They recently chatted with I SELL THE DEAD writer/director Glenn McQuaid and he mentioned he’d like to keep the main characters from I SELL THE DEAD going with THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF BLAKE AND GRIMES. Interesting. I hope these are some damn likable characters if McQuaid is planning on going further with them. Personally I haven’t had a chance to check out the flick but now I’m even more intrigued if just to check out the characters of Blake and Grimes.

McQuaid is planning for THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF BLAKE AND GRIMES to hit the comic shelves first before making it’s way to the big screen. He also mentions that some inspiration for Blake and Grimes came from comedy duos like Abbott & Costello, the Two Ronnies and Morecambe & Wise. He’s even gone as far to talk to SELL THE DEAD stars Dominic Monaghan and Larry Fessenden about reprising their roles in a continuation…

“They’re curious about it. They have great chemistry on screen together, I wouldn’t do it without them. It would have to be another team effort.”

Alright then. You can head over to ScreenDaily to check out the rest of the article which includes info on McQuaid’s next film: “It’s a home invasion comedy of errors.” Nice. I SELL THE DEAD hits the Fantasia Fest running from July 9th to the 27th before hitting home both theatrically and On Demand on August 14th.
