IF A TREE FALLS will mark the debut release of Black Fawn Distribution, a new arm of Black Fawn Films. The independent picture will hit DVD in its native Canada on May 31. The special edition release is limited to only 100 copies and can be pre-ordered here.
Special features on the DVD include behind-the-scenes featurettes, interviews, deleted scenes, alternate endings, trailers and an audio commentary. The pre-order package also comes with an autographed poster and a bandana. Check out the cover art below.

The film is directed Philip Carrer. Ryan Barrett penned the script and also stars alongside Jennifer De Lucia, Breanne teBoekhorst and Daniel Zuccala. The movie will have its Canadian broadcast premiere on Super Channel on June 3 at 10:45 pm. Hopefully we’ll hear of a U.S. release soon.
Siblings Brad and Lisa Carpenter, along with their lifelong friends Will and Vanessa, set out to cross the countryside on a blistering hot summer weekend. Their fun filled road trip takes them through the isolated scenery of the East Coast and, in order to save some cash, the group decides to camp out at a secluded spot at the side of the road. It seems like any other camping trip until they’re awakened in the middle of the night by strange noises outside of their tents. To their horror, the group encounters six masked assailants bent on tormenting the unsuspecting campers without motive, without reason and without mercy. As Brad, Lisa, Will and Vanessa struggle to survive the night of psychological terror, nothing can prepare them for what awaits them as the morning dawns; a reality more terrifying than anything they could have imagined.
