IFC takes North American rights to Victor Garcia’s Gallows Hill

It's been quite some time since we've heard any word on director Victor Garcia's GALLOWS HILL, with our last word coming back in October of last year when we got our first look at an early poster for the flick. Today we've learned that the Peter Facinelli-starring supernatural shocker has finally landed a home with IFC picking up North American rights, according to Screen Daily.

Screen Daily is reporting that genre-friendly distributor IFC has picked up North American rights to Victor Garcia’s genre title following a strong buyer response at a recent Los Angeles screening.

GALLOWS HILL stars Peter Facinelli, the UK’s Sophia Myles, Nathalia Ramos and Colombian model and actress Carolina Guerra.

Rich D’Ovidio, whose credits include THE CALL and THIR13EN GHOSTS, wrote the screenplay about…

…a widower who takes his children on a trip to their mother’s Colombian hometown.

En route, the family are involved in an accident and take refuge in a secluded inn, where they free a girl locked in a basement and set in motion a terrifying sequence of events.

We don't have a release date for this one yet but we'll keep you posted. Hopefully we'll be seeing a trailer for GALLOWS HILL soon.
