Somewhere in between THE LIFE AQUATIC and NOTES ON A SCANDAL, I developed a little crush on Cate Blanchett. And now I’m absolutely obssessed with her, to the point where it hurts even being alive. Needless to say I was excited when this clip of her as Bob Dylan in the new Todd Haynes biopic I’M NOT THERE surfaced online. For those of you saying “Cate Blanchett as Dylan? What in the hell?”, Haynes’ movie is a vanguard portrayal of the rock legend with multiple actors playing the musician at different points in his life. These actors include Richard Gere, Christian Bale, and Heath Ledger (insert requisite DARK KNIGHT reference here). Also, see if you can recognize who’s playing beat poet Allen Ginsberg. The movie is released on September 21.
