Imago Mortis Trailer

Back on Christmas Eve I gave you all an update on Stefano Bessoni’s twisted flick IMAGO MORTIS. What a treat just in time for Christmas right? Well it’s been five months and we’ve finally got another update for MORTIS!

This update comes in the form of a brand new Spanish trailer and comes from the guys over at Twitch. I’ve gone ahead and thrown up the trailer below so be sure to check that out. IMAGO MORTIS is one of those international genre romps that looks like it’ll have you either puking or turning away every few minutes… awesome! Well let’s hope it’s awesome. MORTIS is set to land in Spain this Summer with no word on a US release just yet. Here’s the synopsis:

They say that in the 1600s, long before the invention of photography, a scientist named Girolamo Fumagalli was obsessed with the idea of reproducing images. He discovered that by killing a victim and removing the victim’s eyeballs, it was possible to reproduce on paper the last image imprinted on that person’s retinas. He named this technique ‘thanatography’. Today, the same kind of gruesome ritual and abominable crime recurs within the walls of an international school of cinema.

That’s some pretty intense stuff, no? Kill somebody and pop out their eyes just to see the last thing they saw? Sounds like my kind of Saturday night! Go ahead and scope out the trailer below and be sure to keep it here for any other news we hear for IMAGO MORTIS!
