Inception’s Pete Postlethwaite passes away at 64 – RIP

We are said to inform you of the passing of Academy Award-nominated British actor Pete Postlethwaite. He died peacefully after a long battle with cancer at a hospital in Shropshire, England yesterday at the age of 64.

2010 was a big year for Postlethwaite, who appeared in INCEPTION, THE TOWN, and CLASH OF THE TITANS. His other credits include JURASSIC PARK: THE LOST WORLD, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, AMISTAD, ROMEO + JULIET, ALIEN 3, THE OMEN, and the forthcoming SOLOMON KANE. His final credit will be 2011’s KILLING BONO.

Between film and television (and not including his numerous stage performances), Postlethwaite has appeared in over 100 roles in his 35-year career. An undoubtedly talented thesp, Steven Spielberg once hailed him as “the best actor in the world.”

Postlethwaite is survived by his wife, a son, and daughter. Our hearts go out to all of his family, friends, and fans. May he rest in peace.
