Is the horror anthology making a comeback?
Just a couple months after getting word that Adam Green and friends were working on a quartet of horror tales for CHILLERAMA comes the geektastic news that an assortment of top-notch horror helmers will collaborate to bring us PARIS, I’LL KILL YOU, which will apparently be a look at the seedy underbelly of the city of love. (The title is a play on Paris, je t’aime, itself an anthology, albeit a serious one, set in Paris.)
Joe Dante (GREMLINS), Paco Plaza ([REC]) Vincenzo Natali (SPLICE), Xavier Gens (FRONTIERES), Ryuhei Kitamura (MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN) Christopher Smith (SEVERANCE), Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (INSIDE) and German music video director Joern Heitmann will all provide stories for PARIS, which is set to be shopped at the American Film Market next week. K5, Instinctive Film and Reverence are producing.
This could be the start of a beautiful thing; according to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers are pitching PARIS, I’LL KILL YOU as the first of a possible “horror city” franchise. Think about the possibilities… This is perhaps the coolest news we’ve heard all month – hell, all year!
Hopefully they find a way to kill this Paris, too.
