International horror

Back in October, jukebox hero Pat Torfe schooled
us in the ways of a Pakistani horror movie called
ZIBAHKHANA or HELL’S GROUND in English. At the time
the movie was only playing overseas, but we have now learned that HELL’S
GROUND
has landed a North American screening.

The film, which is directed by ice cream mogul
Omar Khan, is credited as Pakistan’s first gore fest and will be
showcased in North America for the first time at the Philadelphia Film
Festival
which takes place April 5-18th.

HELL’S GROUND is
about a group of teenagers who head to a rock concert but have to take a detour
road because of protesters blocking the path. On this road they come across a

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE

type family as well as some zombies.

The film looks really great and the fact that
it’s the first modern horror film out of Pakistan makes it even better. We all
need to definitely support this flick so that we can help create a more global
horror network.

To find out more about HELL’S GROUND you
can check it out at it’s official site
here
or you can go the more EMO route and check
