It’s safe to say no one ever had a teacher quite like BAD TEACHER’s Elizabeth Halsey, who drinks liquor in class, punishes her students with dodgeballs, screens movies almost every day in lieu of teaching and writes “Are you f*cking kidding me?!” on her kids’ homework. But then again, it’s also probably a sure thing that no one has ever had a teacher like Cameron Diaz, who sheds her usually charming persona to embody the thoroughly immoral Ms. Halsey with fierce enthusiasm. If anyone can make this very bad teacher someone you’d still want to present with an apple, it’s Cameron Diaz.
I didn’t bring an apple to my interview with Cameron (couldn’t find any fresh produce), but I did arrive with questions about the appeal of profane comedies, her favorite line of naughty dialogue and her awkward sex scene with co-star (and ex) Justin Timberlake. I even successfully halted myself from raising my hand before each question… A for effort.
