Interview: Damien Leone talks Terrifier 3, his FX influences, and his Dream Kill!

Few horror films have taken the world by storm quite in the same way that Damien Leone’s Terrifier 2 has. Art the Clown has reached a level of horror that usually takes many sequels to achieve. So it’s not a surprise that the second film is releasing to theaters yet again, this time with a tease for the third entry. You can see it back on the big screen for one night only on November 1st.

I was lucky enough to be able to chat with writer/director Damien Leone about all things Terrifier. We talk about the direction that Terrifier 3 will be heading, following Sienna and her brother Jonathan as they deal with the effects of the second film. But we also talk about Damien’s dream kill, which he hopes they’ll be able to pull off for the upcoming sequel. Whether it’s his Filmmaking influences, Make-Up FX influences, or the man he pays homage to in all of his work, we get into it all. Make sure to check out the video above for a great conversation about a series the horror world loves.

Terrifier 2 plot: Set one year after its predecessor, Terrifier 2 continued the gruesome story of Art the Clown and his insatiable thirst for murder. When a sinister force resurrects Art, he is once again upon the unsuspecting residents of Miles County. Back for another Halloween, Art sets his sights on a teenage girl and her little brother, portrayed by Lauren LaVera and Elliott Fullam, respectively, delivering a chilling and relentless tale of horror.

TERRIFIER 2 slashes back into theaters beginning November 1, 2023.
