Just a few weeks away until September 25th and PANDORUM hits theaters nationwide. You can tell it’s coming close because the marketing train is pimping the shite outta the flick, with a new clip, or pics, or whatever hitts the net every other day (see HERE for the last update).
Today is no different as the Brazilian poster for PANDORUM has been released and is looking at you in the eye above. The verdict? The lamest poster of the bunch. For a while, PANDORUM posters were freaking me out with their bright white / black backgrounds and striking imagery in the forefront, but here… it’s pimping stars Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster, but isn’t striking or engaging. It’s just kind of boring. Then there’s the recycled arm-tubed image at the bottom, but again… that worked way better when it was on its own.
Maybe my standards have been raised too high, maybe I should take this poster for what it is and not compare it to the previous posters for this flick that have been awesome. But I can’t do it. There has to be comparisons and comparitively… this sucks.
PANDORUM is about a pair of crew members aboard a spaceship wake up with no knowledge of their mission or their identities. Enjoy the new poster (if you can), and get ready for PANDORUM in theaters nationwide September 25th.
