HBO already delivered this past weekend with a truly great first episode of their new series “Game of Thrones”, based on the fantasy novels by George R.R. Martin. And next up, they’re looking to kick ass in the world of horse racing with the Michael Mann (COLLATERAL, “Crime Story”) and David Milch (“Deadwood”, “NYPD Blue”) drama series “Luck”.
Below we have a production featurette that’s been put out by HBO, really effectively highlighting not only the show’s content, but what looks to be two dynamite characters and performances from both the aforementioned Hoffman as well as grizzled tough guy Nick Nolte, an actor who just seems tailor-made for the sensibilities of Mann as a filmmaker/storyteller. It’s great stuff and I’m looking forward to seeing more.
