Iron Sky: The Coming Race trailer features Nazis, dinosaurs, and reptilians

Honestly, I thought IRON SKY: THE COMING RACE, director Timo Vuorensola's long-awaited sequel to his 2012 "Nazis on the moon" cult favorite IRON SKY, had already been released quite a while ago – and it was supposed to have been. It was originally scheduled for a February 2018 release, then got bumped back a couple times and is now set to have its premiere in Finland on January 16, 2019.

We first shared a trailer for the follow-up a year and a half ago, but with the premiere coming up another trailer has arrived online and can be seen below.

Scripted by Dalan Musson and starring Udo Kier, Lara Rossi, Stephanie Paul, Jukka Hilden, Julia Dietze, and Tom Green, IRON SKY: THE COMING RACE has the following synopsis:

Twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war, but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity – or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. To save humanity they must fight the Vril, an ancient shapeshifting reptilian race and their army of dinosaurs.

I wasn't a fan of IRON SKY, so this sequel doesn't hold a lot of appeal for me, even if it does feature a reptilian Nazi Udo Kier riding on the back of a dinosaur. I lost track of its release issues because I'm not looking forward to watching it… But I hope this sequel will be available for all fans of the first movie to watch soon.

A third film, titled IRON SKY: THE ARK and starring Kier and Andy Garcia, has already been filmed.
