The main reason I decided to look into the following flick was because of its sweet poster. Take a glance at the motherf*cker up top! It just screams “bad ass” to me. Then I found out it starred Michael Ironside, the king of kick ass, and was just like “Hell yeah! Now we’re talking!”
The flick is called MUTANTS and its killer plot flows like this: A mad scientist is hired by a greedy sugar manufacturer to create an additive designed to be the most addictive substance in the world. Instead, he engineers it to turn human beings into killer mutants, and only the company’s security head & his girlfriend can stop the plague from spreading worldwide.
So are we talking zombies with a killer sugar high here? As long as Mr. Ironside gets to mow them all down with a vast array of weaponry, I’m there! The look of the “killer mutants” from the poster up top seems appropriately intense.
MUTANTS was directed by Amir Valinia from a scrit by Jodie Jones and Evan Scott. In addition to Ironside, it stars Louis Herthum , Tony Senzamici, Steven Bauer, and Jessica Heap (below). There’s no official release date yet, but you can learn more info on the flick’s official MySpace page here.
