Earlier this month we hit you all with the news that there was a documentary on the SCREAM franchise heading our way called STILL SCREAMING. You guys remember that? Of course you do. Well what if I was to tell you there’s actually a second, completely seperate documentary in the works on the franchise. Would that be something you might be interested in? Yeah.. I thought so.
The news coming from Scream-Trilogy has a second documentary in the works called SCREAM: THE INSIDE STORY. It feels like I’m talking about some scandelous special with a title like that. Then again scandels are always good, right? Scream-Trilogy found out about this new project thanks to a ‘tweet’ from genre director Eli Roth. Check it:
“Just filmed my interview for the “Scream” documentary. Party time!”
Upon digging a little further the site found out that SCREAM: THE INSIDE STORY is coming our way from director Dan Farrands. Now Farrands has actually had his fair share of docu work, helping to bring us both HIS NAME IS JASON and NEVER SLEEP AGAIN. So now Farrands turns his attention to Wes Craven’s beloved franchise.
So what do you guys think? We’re not only getting one SCREAM documentary, but two! Is that even necessary? SCREAM: THE INSIDE STORY is expected to hit A&E/BIO channel around the time SCREAM 4 hits theaters so I’m sure we’ll be hearing more on both this docu as well as STILL SCREAMING soon.
