Jackie Chan swings like Spider-Man for Bleeding Steel trailer & poster

At 64-years-of-age, you've got to admit that Jackie Chan is doing pretty well for himself. He's without a doubt one of the most recognizable and influential stars to ever come out of Hong Kong, and he owns damn near every role he steps into. For one of his latest film projects, entitled BLEEDING STEEL, Chan plays a police inspector in modern Hong Kong, for a send-up to the techno sci-fi thrillers of the '80s. The high-octane thriller is directed and written by Leo Zhang with a screenplay by Erica Xia-hou and Cui Siwei. Starring alongside Chan in the Murray Lipnik executive produced drama are Show Lo, Nana Ou-yang, Erica Xia-hou, Callan Mulvey, and Tess Haubrich.

Here's the logline for the film:

In an action-packed drama reminiscent of '80s techno-sci-fi thrillers, Jackie Chan stars as Lin, a police inspector in modern Hong Kong. While tracking down a deranged, mecha-enhanced villain, Lin discovers that a geneticist's lost bio-chemical invention has been surgically implanted into his missing daughter. With the help of a young hacker, Lin connects the dots between the device that haunts his daughter, his enemy's sinister army, and a strange cultural phenomenon called "Bleeding Steel."

Whoa! I'll be honest, I'm down for watching just about anything with Mr. Chan, and BLEEDING STEEL is no exception. I'm getting some strange STAR TREK meets DEMOLITION MAN meets REPO MAN meets THE FIFTH ELEMENT from this trailer, and to me, that sounds like a recipe for some ridiculous fun.

BLEEDING STEEL is set to swing its way into theaters and on demand July 6th
