Jackie Chan's Master Wu battles a chicken in LEGO Ninjago Movie clip

When THE LEGO MOVIE became an unexpected success, as well as one heck of an entertaining film, it was only natural that a slew of sequels and spin-off's would follow. Next year will see the release of the first two LEGO spin-off's with THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE and THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE, the latter of which features the voice of the awesome Jackie Chan as Master Wu. Although the debut of THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE is still a good year away, theater patrons will soon catch a glimpse of the film in a LEGO short which will screen before STORKS on September 23rd. An official synopsis for THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE:

In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.

THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE is set for a September 22, 2017 release.
