MarketSaw is reporting that Peter Jackson has in fact signed with New Line to direct not just one HOBBIT movie, but two! Of course well all know about this entire ordeal. Peter Jackson is the award winning director of THE LORD OF THE RINGS triolgy. And since the third film came out, there’s been talks of adapting the book THE HOBBIT, the prequel to LORD OF THE RINGS: FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING.
Now there’s been some major heat between Jackson and New Line over the whole franchise, so it was looking like THE HOBBIT wasn’t going to happen, at least not with Jackson behind it. So now MarketSaw is saying otherwise. Personally, I’m not giving this a second thought until I see some hard evidence.
I was never a huge fan of the LOTR franchise anyway, but I figured I’d pass this along to all of you. Take it for what you want. I’m shrugging it off until something set in stone comes along.
They’re not only reporting that Jackson will be making two HOBBIT movies, but that they’ll be in 3-D. April 1 isn’t for a few more months guys. If you wanna scope out the article, head over here. I call shennanigans until I see something that slaps me in the face.
