James’ Fantastic Voyage

It was only yesterday that we relayed a Production Weekly missive about James Cameron’s next flick not only being a sci-fi event flick, but that it could very well be Shane Salerno’s script for DOOMSDAY PROTOCOL. Well, looks like the rumors have in part washed away, and that Cameron’s next film credit (most likely as producer and not director) will be a 3-D reimagining of 60s film/TV show “Fantastic Voyage” (also penned by Salerno, MTV).

“Fantastic Voyage” was a sci-fi/adventure show that ran from 1968-1970, adapted from a 1966 film of the same name.

One thing’s for damn sure – Cameron has way too many projects attached to his belt for a dude only putting out one film every three and a half years (on average, as director).

What project would you like to see Cameron sink his teeth into next?
