OK, so in this era of continual bludgeoning by remakes, reimaginings, and blatant rip-offs when it comes to genre work, why is it that one of the coolest original horror concepts I’ve heard in some time isn’t going to be a horror flick at all?
It’s going to be a Live-Action Family Adventure.
You heard me right. Kevin James is set to star in MONSTER HUNTER for Sony Pictures Entertainment. So what’s the concept that’s got me all in a tizzy?
James will play a child psychologist who can actually see the monsters that torment kids from closets and under beds. He uses that skill to vanquish the beasts until he meets a particularly nasty one.
Simple. Perfect. Brilliant.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but I guarantee you I’m gonna catch this one in the theaters before you see my ass watching anything containing the words RING, GRUDGE, or BOOGEY again!
