As he puts the finishing touches on the John Cusack period thriller, formerly THE RAVEN, director James McTeigue has zeroed in on his follow up film.
Deadline has it that McTeigue will be relaying MESSAGE FROM THE KING, a missing woman thriller from UNKOWN scribes Oliver Butcher and Stephen Cornwell. Not a ton is known about the movie at this point, save for it will begin production sometime this fall. Film Nation and The Ink Factory are producing.
The thriller centers on Jacob King, an enigmatic outsider who comes to LA to investigate the sudden disappearance of his sister.
THE MESSAGE FROM THE KING will mark the 5th feature for McTeigue, who also directed V FOR VENDETTA, THE INVASION, NINJA ASSASSIN and THE RAVEN. He also worked second unit on a number of films, including DARK CITY, THE MATRIX and SPEED RACER.
