A movie called WHITE HOUSE DOWN starring Channing Tatum from doomsday director Roland Emmerich is currently in development. It’s being described as an “action drama”, so you may be able to imagine the levels of absurdity that will likely come along with it.
Now, according to Variety, Emmerich wants DJANGO UNCHAINED star Jamie Foxx to play P.O.T.U.S. in the film. While official negotiations have yet to occur, sources say that Foxx is interested in the role of el presidente. WHITE HOUSE DOWN follows Channing Tatum who stars as a Secret Service agent that “leaps into action to defend the president when a paramilitary group takes over the White House and holds everyone inside hostage.”
Foxx, of course, will next be seen this Christmas in Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED, which at this point looks absolutely terrific. If you haven’t checked out that film’s brand new trailer yet, do so RIGHT HERE.
