Jamie Foxx & Teyonah Parris to join John Boyega in They Cloned Tyrone

Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx and Teyonah Parris, who stars in Nia DaCosta's upcoming CANDYMAN revival, are joining the cast of Marco and Netflix's THEY CLONED TYRONE. The sci-fi film already has ATTACK THE BLOCK and Star Wars veteran John Boyega in the lead, and CREED 2 scribe Juel Taylor ready to make his directorial debut.

Plot details are thin at this time, though we do know that the film follows a series of eerie events that thrust an unlikely trio (Boyega, Foxx, Parris) onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy in this pulpy mystery caper.

Foxx is currently starring in Netflix's PROJECT POWER, a super-powered romp that shows what happens when ordinary people are given powers for a limited time with the help of an advanced drug. Foxx also stars in Pixar's upcoming animated feature SOUL, which is due to arrive in theaters on November 20, 2020. The actor is attached to a number of other projects as well, but perhaps none are more interesting than Blumhouse's SPAWN, which is based on Todd McFarlane's legendary coming book character. Foxx is expected to play Al Simmons / Spawn in the film, which is set to be written and directed by McFarlane.

As for Parris, she'll star alongside Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in Candyman, directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Oscar winner Jordan Peele. Also, for all of you true believers out there, Parris will star as Monica Rambeau in Marvel Studios’ WandaVision for Disney+! As you can see, Parris' star is on the rise, and I am here for it. Let's go!
