Mike Tyson is a name recognized by even those with a cursory understanding of professional boxing. The man with the squeaky voice and the face tattoo who threatened to eat your children is now best known for his cameos in THE HANGOVER films and his one man show about the struggles in his life. He has been trying to get a movie made of his life story and he has now selected who he wants to portray him on the big screen.

Speaking with The Daily Mirror, Tyson made the following statement.

“Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it. Within a year to 18 months, we’re going to do the Mike Tyson story and he’s going to portray me, and now they have this new animation; because you know Jamie’s pretty much my age so he can’t portray me but they have this new system.”

While neither The Daily Mirror or Tyson himself are the most reliable sources of information, this is not the first time that Foxx’s name has come up in connection with a Tyson biopic. Foxx used to do impressions of the boxer in his stand-up routine and days on IN LIVING COLOR. But, Tyson also references Martin Scorsese as being involved in the film, so take this for what it is worth.

In either case, would you be interested in a Mike Tyson movie starring Jamie Foxx from producer Martin Scorsese?
