Laurie goes full Sarah Connor in new Halloween image

We've known from the trailers and whatnot for Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green's upcoming direct sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN that Jamie Lee Curtis' new version of Laurie Strode was going to be a bit more badass (duh.) than she was in Carpenter's original film.

But today we have an all-new image from the film via USA Today which features Jamie Lee going full Sarah Connor as she stares out the window, no doubt daydreaming of all the ass-whoopin' she about to lay down on that old-school William Shatner mask.

You can check out the new image below and then make sure to let us know what you think! Blumhouse's HALLOWEEN will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis to the role of

Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Also in the cast are Judy Greer as Laurie's daughter Karen; Andi Matichak as Karen's daughter Allyson; Miles Robbins, Virginia Gardner, Dylan Arnold, and Drew Scheid as Allyson's Haddonfield High classmates; Will Patton and Rob Niter as police officers; Rhian Rees as a character named Dana; and Diva Tyler as a caretaker, with stuntman James Jude Courtney and original Michael Myers performer Nick Castle both wearing the mask of the iconic slasher.

John Carpenter served as an executive producer on the film and is composing the score. The new HALLOWEEN arrives in theatres on October 19th. The film has been officially rated R via the MPAA for "horror violence and bloody images, language, brief drug use and nudity."
