Janes speaks Punisher

There are probably three kinds of people out there: those who thought Thomas Jane as THE PUNISHER was da bomb; those who thought Jane sucked the big one; and those who feel nobody is better than Dolph Lundgren. I’m of the later group, but didn’t think Jane did a horrible job- he’s just done one too many romantic comedies for me to take him seriously.


But for those who thought he rocked, then you’ll be happy to know that ThomasJane.com (yes, there really is such a thing) posted a Q&A with the star late last week, where a loyal fan asked him what’s going on with THE PUNISHER 2, and if it’s really starting to film this summer. Here’s his response:

Not anymore! P2 is still looking for a good story at this point. We’re working on it, and hope to have a script by the fall.


Good to hear they’re raising the bar for this one, and not just throwing a sequel together for sequels sake. With the right script, and a villian better than John Travolta, P2 could be kind of cool. I think now that Jane has done the role once, he’ll be back with a vengeance and own that shit. Of course, I’m still for Lundgren reprising the role, so if Jane decides to do something else- give the man a call!!!
