A little while ago we shared with you an interview that Moviehole snagged with WOLF CREEK star John Jarratt. Amongst many interesting tidbits that he dropped in the chat, one was the fact that Quentin Tarantino had tracked him down to rave about his work.
So the news that Jarratt may have a role in the Tarantino/Rodriguez double-feature GRIND HOUSE shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Here’s the report from over at ComingSoon.net:
John Jarratt, of “Wolf Creek”, was just on ABC RADIO here in Perth and slipped some big news.
He said he has been asked to do a role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Grindhouse” in Texas. He told a story about how Tarantino has always been a big fan of his and wanted him to come to the “Kill Bill” premiere in Sydney. He couldn’t make it to the premiere – but he did have a drink with him the next day, and they’ve been friends ever since. Tarantino even owns a copy of “Wolf Creek” on 35mm, he said. And when this part came up – he went to John.
Sounds very cool and would certainly make sense. Let’s hope it holds up!
