Blumhouse and David Gordon Green's (PINEAPPLE EXPRESS) sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN was a major force at the box-office last year and since then rumors and whatnot surrounding a possible sequel have been flying. And recently we passed along word that it looks like Blumhouse’s HALLOWEEN 2 is gearing up to start shooting after Labor Day with Jamie Lee Curtis returning as Laurie Strode!
But will Green return as the director?
Jason Blum sure hopes so! In fact, a fan recently asked Jason Blum over on Twitter if he thinks David Gordon Green will do the sequel to Halloween adding "I hope so." To which Blum replied:
I do too!
Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are expected to return as well. Malek Akkad will produce alongside Blum and Bill Block. Danny McBride will likely return to executive produce alongside Green, Curtis, John Carpenter, and Blumhouse’s Couper Samuelson.
Universal might release this new HALLOWEEN movie on October 16, 2020.
