Jason Lives: Friday the 13th VI director to attend event at camp location

For the last couple years, On Set Cinema has been hosting a camping experience at Camp Daniel Morgan in Rutledge, Georgia, the place where 1986's Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (watch it HERE) was filmed, and as part of the event they screen the movie right there at the location where iconic slasher Jason Voorhees did his thing more than thirty years ago. The Camp Daniel Morgan event is happening again this year – and this time On Set Cinema is bringing Jason Lives writer/director Tom McLoughlin to camp with them!

Here's the announcement:

FRIDAY-SUNDAY, AUGUST 13-15, 2021

Get ready campers! ON SET CINEMA returns to Camp Blood for our 3rd Annual Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives event! Celebrate the film's 35th Anniversary with the ultimate JASON LIVES experience. Kill or be killed at Camp Daniel Morgan (aka Camp Crystal Lake …aka Camp Forest Green) at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Rutledge, Georgia where the majority of JASON LIVES was filmed – see where Sheriff Mike Garris gets bent completely in half by Jason, walk on the pier where Officer Thornton gets a dart to the forehead, hang out in the cabin where Sissy gets snatched out of the window and her head twisted off or swim in the lake where Tommy fights Jason during the movies’ climatic ending! This year we'll be doing 2 back-to-back events and for the first time one of the events will be taking place on FRIDAY THE 13TH! We're excited to announce that JASON LIVES director Tom McLoughlin will be returning to Camp Blood for the first time since filming took place! He'll be signing autographs, taking photos with fans on the pier, doing a Q&A after the movie screening , and a filming locations tour of both the Jason Lives cemetery and Camp Crystal Lake / Camp Forest Green!

And here's some info on what will be happening at the camp:

Fans will enjoy an entire weekend of summer camp – shared cabin camping with bunk beds, games (egg toss, corn hole, badminton, tug-of-war, board games, video games and more!), camp fires with friends, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores, watching VHS horror movies on tube TVs, swimming and canoeing in Crystal Lake and of course a complimentary outdoor screening of JASON LIVES by the lake – you'll be able to watch the movie while on the pier or in the water! …but remember campers, Jason will be watching! …Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma …Ki Ki Ki Ma Ma Ma…

***** 18+ ONLY EVENT. Admission includes shared cabin lodging for both nights. Cabins are old-school and RUSTIC with twin size beds and bunkbeds – there is NO A/C inside cabins, but there is electricity (limited outlets), so be sure to bring a box fan. Cabins will be assigned to you at check in at the camp. If you want to guarantee that you’ll be rooming with a certain person or group of people at the event, we suggest buying all tickets together as one purchase. If purchased separately you may request to room with a certain person or group, but it’s not guaranteed. Most cabins sleep up to 8 people and some are bunk beds. Please bring your own bed sheets, sleeping bags and pillows – they will not be provided. If you're not interested in staying all night inside one of the cabins with other people, you're welcome to camp-out in a tent so you can have your own space (tents will not be provided). There is plenty of room on the property to spread out and enjoy the weekend. Admission also includes all games, outdoor movie screening of JASON LIVES (scheduled for the second night, but could be moved to the first night depending on the weather), firewood, marshmallows, s’mores, canoes and more. Food is NOT INCLUDED – all campers must provide their own food for the weekend (there is a full kitchen at the camp with a big refrigerator for shared use). Also, please bring a camping chair for movie screening.

***** DIRECTOR TOM MCLOUGHLIN WILL ONLY BE A SPECIAL GUEST ON SATURDAY DURING THE FRIDAY-SUNDAY (AUGUST 13th-15th) EVENT *****

For more information, and to purchase tickets, head over to the On Set Cinema website at THIS LINK.

I haven't been able to attend these Jason Lives events, but I would love to be able to go one of these years. With Tom McLoughlin in attendance, this may be the best year yet.
