Jason Reitman shares Ghostbusters ‘Family’ photo

In today's GHOSTBUSTERS news, Jason Reitman took to Twitter to share a brand new photo of his cinematic "family".

Check out the post for yourself below.

Any STRANGER THINGS fan must've seen this one coming.

As previously reported, director Ivan Reitman's son will be helming the upcoming GHOSTBUSTERS 3, which will play as a continuation of the original franchise and a direct sequel to 1989's GHOSTBUSTERS II.

This movie will not be connected to the 2016 GHOSTBUSTERS movie starring Melissa McCarthy.

The film is said to focus on a family who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself. Apparently, the movie mainly centers on a family headed by a single mother. Variety reported this month that that Carrie Coon is in talks to play the mom and Finn Wolfhard is in negotiations to play her son.

Reitman has co-written the screenplay with Gil Kenan and will direct. The untitled film will be produced by his father, Ivan Reitman, who directed and produced the original 1984 film. Plot details are currently under wraps for the new film, which will go into production this summer.

Yesterday it was confirmed that CAPTAIN MARVEL star Mckenna Grace will star in the upcoming film. Director Reitman then tweeted out a photo of his new 'family', a.k.a. Grace, Coon, and Wolfhard. It looks like little Mike Wheeler might get to be a ghostbuster after all.

GHOSTBUSTERS 3 is slotted to hit theaters on July 10th, 2020. WIll you be seeing this one when it hits the big screen?
